In 2014 William Gilder Ltd were permitted by the Environment Agency to open a new specialist waste treatment centre located one kilometre to the north of Toddington in Gloucestershire and approximately 12 kilometres from Junction nine of the M5 motorway.
The purpose of the facility is currently to treat, recover and (or) dispose of industrial & domestic sewerage, liquid waste and street sweepings/gully waste using two key technologies.
For sewerage and liquid wastes, the facility houses a waste water treatment plant whereby accepted wastes are delivered by our Industrial Services department and other approved 3rd parties. The waste is then treated in an aerobic environment using various tanks and filtration technology. Treated liquids are then disposed of within the permitted consent limits.
For street sweepings and gully wastes, a separate CDEnviro™ GMax™ washing and screening plant is used to recover materials in the form of sand and compost like output for use in land restoration projects.
The Toddington Treatment Centre also has a fully calibrated Weigh Bridge that provides all visiting drivers (including public users) with weigh in and out tickets, restroom facilities and a designated site office with parking.
Our facility can accept most types of water based waste products, so please contact us to find out more and obtain a list of permitted wastes:
