By-Products
William Gilder Ltd works closely with a wide variety of commercial sector, water utility and public sector clients. As a result we transport, recycle and recover a range of process by-product materials that are suitable for land application. This includes agricultural land, forestry land and land permitted for restoration or reclamation.
We take time to review all suitable options for specific by-products and use the relevant Environment Agency land spreading permits/deployments to supply products that provide either agricultural or ecological benefit to land.
Typical by-products managed by William Gilder Ltd include;
- Process by-products applied directly to agricultural land (as soil conditioner and sustainable fertiliser).
- Process by-products that are composted to produce ‘Compost Like Outputs’ for use in land restoration (for ecological benefit).
- Water utility by-products including biosolids and clean water production sludge to agricultural land (as soil conditioner and sustainable fertiliser).
- Non-compliant water utility by-products (e.g. biosolids) for input into further treatment and recovery.
We follow detailed standard operating procedures when reviewing the suitability of applying by-products to land. Our agronomists work closely with the client, the farmer/landowner/project manager, the Environment Agency and our associated laboratory services provider prior to the application of materials.
In addition our staff have extensive experience in handling and using a wide variety of process by-products which helps to provide reassurance of safe and quality assured working at all times.
